Elodie Mondélice
architecture in colors
Elodie Mondélice has always been passionate about drawing. After studying architecture in the Paris region, she returned to Guadeloupe and began to delve into her passion. It was while looking through the pages of an old book on the heritage of Guadeloupe that she recalled her childhood memories - and met Ali Tur. A real encounter, since it is through this architect who came to rebuild the official buildings after the 1928 cyclone, that Elodie Mondélice began to paint passionately...
"I fell under the spell of the church in Morne-à-l'Eau, this monochrome and massive Art Deco style building, which contrasted formidably with the lush nature, and the red tin roofs of the surrounding buildings."
