Elodie Mondélice has always been passionate about drawing. After studying architecture in the Paris region, it was in Guadeloupe that she began exploring her passion again. It is through the pages of an old book on the heritage of Guadeloupe that she recalls her childhood memories - and that she meets Ali Tur. A real encounter, since it was through this architect who came to rebuild the official buildings after the cyclone of 1928, that Élodie Mondelice began to paint passionately...

"I fell under the spell of the church of Morne-à-l'Eau, this monochrome and massive building, in Art Deco style, which contrasted wonderfully with the lush nature, and the red tin roofs of the neighboring buildings."
