Elodie Mondélice was born in France to Guadeloupean parents. Her family came to Guadeloupe every year during the summer vacations, until her parents were transferred and returned home in 1995.

Elodie Mondélice has always had a passion for drawing. After studying architecture in the Paris region, she realized that the architectural profession did not suit her temperament. There was a lot of paperwork, administration and legalities, and not enough room for pure creation.

It was in Guadeloupe that she set about exploring her passion. Chancing upon the pages of an old book on the heritage of Guadeloupe, she recalls her childhood memories - and meets Ali Tur, an architect who came to Guadeloupe after the cyclone of 1928 to rebuild the official buildings. A true encounter, since it was thanks to him that Elodie Mondélice began to paint passionately...
