Robert Manscour trained at the Ateliers Artistiques de la Ville de Paris. His current work is the result of 30 years of working with his kiln, testing, inventing and reinventing glass forms.

Today, he uses thermoforming, thermobonding, fusing and kiln techniques. He includes materials compatible with glass, such as grains of sand or aluminum, for example. The icing on the cake is that he also takes care of enameling, and can work with silk-screen printing to add an extra touch to his sculptures, like an extra soul, to sublimate the transparency of glass.

It was while working with the Lisette Alibert gallery that she came up with the idea of creating characters rooted in West Indian culture. Characters with traditional names, like Bèlè (the name of a local drum) or Biabi. Each one has its own character and unique appearance.
